HORSE GRAM SUN FLOWER

Today my son got an activity called ‘Horse gram sun flower’. Decorate the sun flower picture using horse gram(for sun flower seeds part).

Required Items:

Horse gram(easily get from any super market)
Crayons
Glue

It's better to describe the project item to the kids to get an idea about it, before starting the project.

Here, we need to explain about "Sunflowers" and "Horse gram"

Yes, Sunflower grows to a height of 300 centimeters or more and it tilt to face the sun during the day, then stop once it begin blooming. And it generally face east to face the sun.

Obviously, we have to explain the item "Horse gram" to the kids like what is that? & what is the uses of it?. Because in every school project, some item(it might be new to the kids) need to use. So, better we have to explain first. Then teach them to do the activity.

Really, it helps them to know it when doing the activity.

Actually, Horse gram is nothing but a type of beans. We call it as "Kollu" in tamil language. And it's commonly used in Tamilnadu dishes like kollu porial, kollu chutney, kollu sambar & kollu rasam.

Steps to decorate:

First color the sun flower picture using crayons, yellow used for petals and green used for leaf.  Refer below picture.

Then apply the glue in the center part of the flower, and paste the horse gram in circle shape. Refer below pictures.

Once it’s completed, make a border line for the flower using marker or sketch pens.
Activity is completed within 30 minutes. Please ask your child to involve on doing this. It’ll be helpful to learn lot of things and obviously it will be great fun too.

COLOR THE GRAPES BY COIN

Using 5 rupee coin, we have to color the given grapes. We can use purple or green color for the grapes. Items Required: Color Pencil /Crayons 5 Rupee coin This activity is very simple and your kid will enjoy doing this. First, place the coin properly (under the grape circle) in the given paper and ask your kid to color it. You can use color pencil /crayon to color it. Better you select purple color for the grapes and green color for the leaf. Once, your kid color the single circle of the grapes, then move the coin to the next circle and ask your kid to color it. Mainly, the coin (5 rupee) trace should be visible in the grapes circle. So, do not add more color to the circle. Once, your kid colored all the grapes, then moves the coin under the leaf section, ask him/her to color it. That’s all, the activity is over and it will take 15-20 minutes to finish. And, I’m sure your kid will enjoy doing this activity. Comments are always welcome…
